DAY 1 (Wed): Sirmione & Burghetto Sul Mincio
Enjoy a speed Boat ride around The Sirmione Peninsula famous since antiquity and one of the most beautiful places on Lake Garda. Formed by a 3km strip of land reaching the open waters of Lake Garda, Sirmione has splendid views of both shores and unparalleled treasures of art, history and plenty of shopping. Optional climb of the old fort tower.

We continue to Burghetto Sul Mincio which is one of the “most beautiful villages in Italy” (Borghi più belli d’Italia) and is one of those places that seem unreal like a fairy tale. Cross the Visconteo bridge and discover this stunning village on the Mincio river. Stroll along the river, shops and cafes. Most popular is the Scaliger Castle, whose origins date back over a thousand years.

DAY 2 (Thur): Verona and Jewish Heritage
Shakespeare’s lovers Romeo and Juliet were placed in Verona for good reason: romance, drama and fatal family feuding have been the city’s hallmark for centuries. From the 3rd century BC Verona was a Roman trade center with ancient gates, a forum and a grand Roman arena, which still serves as one of the world’s great opera venues. The city became a Fascist control center from 1938 to 1945, a key location for Resistance interrogation and transit point for Italian Jews sent to Nazi concentration camps. Today, the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a cosmopolitan crossroads, especially in summer when the 2000-year-old Arena hosts opera’s biggest names. We visit the Shule built in 1864 and learn about the local Jewish community.

DAY 3 (Fri): Magical Bergamo
Bergamo is a beautiful Italian town nestled in the foothills of the Alps. Widely acclaimed as a city of rare beauty, Bergamo is famous for its wealth of artistic treasures and enchanting medieval atmosphere. It is a real-life tale of two cities: Città Bassa, the busy and modern lower city, and Città Alta, the upper city with its rich heritage of art and history. Enjoy the upper town with our very knowledgeable guide and wander the many cobblestone streets for shopping souvenirs and Funicular cable car.

DAY 4 (Sun): Milan
The capital of Lombardy and the second most populous city in Italy after Rome. Join us on a guided walking tour of the best of Milan visiting the Castello Sforzesco, The Duomo, The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele 11, and The La Scala Theater, with time for shopping in the fashion capital of the world.

DAY 5 (Mon): Louvere, Lake Iseo & Brescia
in the Italian region of Lombardy. For centuries, the rich and famous have come to the Italian Lakes to rest, relax and recuperate, yet arguably the most spectacular Lake Iseo is the quintessential ‘undiscovered gem’, with outstanding natural beauty and lush green mountains surrounding the crystal clear lake. Starting in Lovere on the northwest side of the lake, a small town of strong artistic and historical interest dating back to the 5th & 4th century BC, we take a boat ride via the main Island Montisola to Sulzano. From Sulzano we make our way to Brescia Castello (Castle) also known as Falcone d’Italia built between the 13th-16th century and one of the largest in Italy. A beautiful spot for our picnic lunch with spectacular views of the city. Time permitting, we will also visit the Mille Miglia Museum.
