Kolymvari beach, located right by the Hotel, features fine sand and pebbles, well-known for its untouched beauty and crystal clear waters.

It offers magnificent views to the picturesque Rodopou peninsula to the West and the Thodorou islet, a preservation area of the Cretan wild goat widely known as Kri-kri. This serene beach atmosphere creates the perfect backdrop for indulging in moments of relaxation while gazing out over the magnificent Cretan sea.

The exotic beach of Elafonissi is located 52km southwest of Kolymvari with white-pink sand and crystal clear shallow waters.

The lagoon of Balos is located 23km northwest of Kolymvari. The beach has white sand and turquoise water. It was voted as one of the best beaches of the World in 2011. The waters are very shallow and warm making Balos ideal for young children.

Nestled in the mountains, Spili boasts seven enchanting fountains, with the Venetian Fountain standing out as a true gem. Admire its 19 intricately carved lion heads, each offering refreshing, crystal-clear drinking water.

Next, venture to the captivating village of Margarites, known for its artisanal workshops specializing in toolmaking and pottery. Wander through the village and witness the skilled craftsmanship on display.

The journey then leads to Rethymnon, the third largest city in Crete, perched on the coast and steeped in history. Immerse in the allure of the Old City, where the Venetian Ottoman Quarter beckons with its narrow, winding alleys and ancient buildings adorned in a vivid array of colors.

Our journey will lead us through Eleftherios Venizelos Central Square, a hub of vibrant activity. Next, explore the meticulously restored ancient port, renowned as the city’s most enchanting and beloved district. Discover the ancient “Tree of Life” synagogue, a poignant testament to Chania’s rich Jewish heritage and the last of its kind on the island.

Our adventure continues to the idyllic resort town of Georgioupolis, celebrated in the media as one of the finest in Crete, adorned with evergreen landscapes. Savor a delightful lunch against the backdrop of the bay’s enchanting vistas, completing a truly magical experience.

Sunday 28.04.24 – A train tour and a visit to an orangery and olive oil factory

Join a seamless adventure as the train conveniently starts at the Hotel. The scenic route will go through the lively village of Platanias, then sweep southwest along the picturesque riverbanks of Iardanos, setting the tone for a leisurely journey.

Meander through the fragrant orange groves of Patelari & Kirtomado, leading to the exquisite natural haven of the “Agia” Lake, a haven of diverse flora and fauna.

Following this, take a brief pause to pick oranges in a charming grove. Our final stop promises a visit to the Terra Creta olive oil factory, offering a fascinating insight into the art of olive oil production in Crete.
